EV Charging Stations · CLEAN + CARE

EV charging station site maintenance and cleaning.

Remote monitoring shows you the device's technical state. Only a team on site can keep up the conditions drivers actually see. BİGEL maintains charger housings, cable management, bays, floors and wayfinding to one standard across your entire network, with planning, execution and photo-verified reporting run from a single centre.

Scope

Site and visual upkeep: everything the driver sees.

A charge point experience depends on more than whether the device works. A clean, intact unit, a cable that is not left on the ground, a bay that is clear and easy to read and wayfinding that is visible from the car all shape the same experience. The EV Charge Care package of BİGEL CARE covers this area.

  • Charger housing and screen surface
  • Cable management: cable and connector kept off the ground
  • Bay, floor, kerbs and car park surface
  • Wayfinding and signage elements
  • Light fitting housings
  • Charger surroundings and site exterior
Out of scope

We don't do electrical maintenance, and we say so up front.

Electrical maintenance, periodic inspection and calibration of chargers require legal authorisation and specialist expertise, so certified specialists carry them out. BİGEL does not replace that work. It complements it: we record what we see on site, coordinate specialist work with the right specialists, and manage the planning and closure tracking.

  • No work inside the unit or on electrical components
  • Physical findings on site are recorded with photos
  • Work that needs authorisation is coordinated with the right specialists
  • Detection, planning and closure tracking are handled by BİGEL
BİGEL CLEAN

EV charger cleaning: unit, screen, floor and bay.

Charging sites are outdoors, so dust, rain, mud and winter grime quickly build up on housings and floors. Cleaning follows a common checklist and standard procedure approved at the scoping stage, with methods suited to each surface.

  • Cleaning of charger housings and screen surfaces
  • Surface-appropriate cleaning of signs, totems and wayfinding
  • Dirt, oil stains and litter removed from floors and bays
  • Cables and connectors left in their proper place
  • Seasonal programme for winter grime, leaves and mud
  • Rapid response after sudden soiling, vandalism or bad weather
BİGEL CARE workflow

Detection, work order, photo-verified closure.

Every issue found on site follows a single work order flow. Each charge point is recorded with the same photo set: front, right, left, screen, cable and bay. That keeps sites and periods comparable from the same angles.

EV Audit30

Measure site quality with EV Audit30.

You have to measure upkeep to see its effect. EV Audit30 runs 30 standard checks at the charge point, grouped into 6 weighted areas, and produces a site score out of 100. A score of 90 or above is compliant, 75–89 needs follow-up and below 75 needs action. Safety non-conformities trigger a same-day alert, and major findings are actioned within 24 hours. See the charging station audit page for details.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does EV charging station maintenance cover? Is electrical maintenance included?

BİGEL covers site and visual upkeep: charger housing, screen surface, cable management, bays, floor, wayfinding and light fitting housings. Electrical maintenance, periodic inspection and calibration are not included and are carried out by certified specialists. BİGEL handles detection, planning and closure tracking for that work.

How is an EV charging station cleaned?

Cleaning follows the checklist and standard procedure approved at the scoping stage. Housings, screens, floors and bays are cleaned with methods suited to each surface. No work is done inside the unit or on its electrical components.

What happens when charging cables are left on the ground, and how is cable management kept up?

A cable left on the ground looks poor and is a hazard for people walking and cars manoeuvring. That is why the cable has its own shot in the mandatory photo set on every visit. Non-conformities are flagged as findings, and safety non-conformities trigger a same-day alert.

How are charging bays and wayfinding monitored?

Bays and wayfinding are photographed on every visit, and EV Audit30 scores them under user experience. Findings such as worn floor markings or damaged signs become CARE work orders tracked to a photo-verified closure.

How is the maintenance work reported?

Every visit is recorded with GPS, a timestamp, a checklist and photos. Work orders are tracked with an owner, due date and closure evidence. Head office sees all sites on one dashboard by site, region and period.

How is visit frequency decided?

Visit frequency is agreed with you based on what the network needs. It can be a monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly or seasonal programme. Rapid response can also be scheduled after sudden soiling, vandalism or bad weather.

Can we try it before rolling out to the whole network?

Yes. The Audit30 pilot for EV networks covers 10 sites over 2 weeks in 2 rounds. At the end you have baseline scores, photo-verified findings and action proposals.
